Overall Notes

At the very highest level, what you need to know is that the goal of The Booze Delivery Coop (BDC) is to eliminate us needing to drive to any of the Delivery Regions below. As a BDC Member you can choose to be part of any, or all, of the Delivery Regions BUT you will be in rotation to wrap pallets on the same frequency as any other Member no matter how many Delivery Regions you participate in, and even if you do not have product heading to a Delivery Region on your scheduled wrap date.

Using the Burton warehouse located at 1222 Franklin St., Vancouver as a consolidation point, all producers will have their product physically on site by a designated time with any paperwork required. Orders will also need to be entered into a shared spreadsheet, so that the product can be palletized and sent via a freight company (like Diamond Delivery, etc) for the last leg of delivery company to take it from there. The last leg of delivery co. de-palletizes the skid upon receipt and manages the logistics of getting the product out to the end customer.

The magic of this service is that it gives you the ability to expand into all of these regions, even if you don’t have many sales there, and know that you have delivery services available. All of that yet not have to pay a dime to deliver there until you sell there. The only “expense” to you is having someone wrap up a pallet every once in a while. At this point that would be around once/month. The more members, the lower that frequency of pallet wrapping.

In all instances below, where a round-robin division of labour is noted, Container Brewing is not part of the labour rotation as they will be taking on the storage of the product, booking and paying for the transport of the pallet to its destination, paying upfront costs associated with all the last leg delivery, packing materials, and final accounting/invoicing for the work.

Full transparency for all accounting will always be disclosed. Invoices will come from Burton Storage Solutions Inc. using Square for easy credit card payment. Interac transfers accepted too.

This model is an expansion of what was done for in the past, but it was then exclusively to the Nanaimo & North Island Delivery Region. We have now expanded this coop to include any and all Delivery Regions outside of Vancouver.

Slack channel has been created for internal communication. Contact us to get access.

A Google Calendar for all schedules that can be subscribed to has been created and populated with the schedule and round-robin palletizing tasks.
